Artist Statement

"When I was a little girl, I started painting images of my home town. I discovered every corner--even the forgotten ones—and painted them so that people were able to "see" them again.

I need to paint to live. I paint the things that surround me, that move me and that impact my feelings. I paint so that I won’t die. It is how I express myself.

Today I paint the country-side, were I live. It is a paradise full of peace and life. Working with the animals, riding on horse-back, the dogs waiting on the road--there are so many moments that I wish to capture in my paintings and translate so people will be able to read between the lines."
