Artist statement:
"My current work in photography has three distinct components. The first is connected to my work as a photo journalist for the Associated Press. The second is my dedication to the teaching I started in Buenos Aires and continue here in Asuncion, Paraguay. I’ve gathered a wonderful group of local artists, and each Monday we meet to collectively review each artist’s work. The third, which is where I am dedicating most of my free time, is the creation of four photography-based book projects that I hope to publish in late 2006 and 2007. My top priority is to publish my 1989 photo documentary about the psychiatric hospital in Asuncion."
